Dual Channel Vs. regular mode
 

Heya guys, sorry for the off kilter question. I've got a gig and a half of pc3200 ram in my 3 gightz P4 Machine. I have 4 slots but the last one is fried so I can only have 3 512meg sticks in there instead of the full 4. would I get better performance by pulling out 1 stick and having only 1gig of ram and running it dual channel or would it be better to have the extra 512 megs in there??

Unless I'm gravely mistaken, the days when you had to install RAM in pairs are thankfully over. Keep what you've got.
