drives visible on desktop???

Hello,

I've just installed breezy on a new computer. Everything is cool except now by default, I have an icon for each one of my drive partitions on my desktop. Never seen this before (same install cd I've always used). Any ideas?

Thanks Much,

ab

Think this is the new default gnome / nautilus behaviour.

I think you can change this by opening the gconf-editor. Type 'gconf-editor' in a terminal and go to:

Apps-> Nautilus -> Desktop and uncheck the volumes_visible key.

Let us know if it worked.

Hmm... I was unable to find nautilus on the apps dropdown or on any of my other dropdown menus. Shows up on the loading icon at gnome startup though. I feel kinda lame asking this but, where the heck could it be?! ;-)

Thanks Much,

ab

Whoops! Nevermind, just re-read your posting and see that I should have done this via the gconf-editor. I'll try again when I get home.

Cheers,
