nope, it just flash. You need to install the Macromedia flash player for ubuntu. You'll find many howto's for that if you search.
Remember to ensure that your plugin paths are correct in your web browser

cheers

I misread your email. I already have flash plugin installed and can view the Google videos with no problem. Want I want to do is download them and store them locally. When I right click to save, I just get an .htm file; not what I want.

Suggestions Much Appreciated,

ab

Thanks for the replies. Firefox extension "video downloader" doesn't seem to be able to download anything at all. I've read the instructions, restarted firefox, right clicked the video link at google video, selected "download video" and get the following:

Error (404 no encontrado). No hemos podido completar tu solicitud.

Link generated in 0.08 seconds.

Diseņo paginas web
De alta calidad, E-Commerce, Bogota/Colombia

Odd. Why in Spanish? This is a flash program responder and I get it with ANYTHING I try to download. Anyone else run into this problem?

Many Thanks,

ab

VideoDownloader works fine for me - I downloaded a video as an .avi file and it worked. Do you have the media codecs installed?

Hmm... not sure. I can however see the flash videos just fine. I just can't save them locally. Do you get the same Spanish flash window that I'm getting?

Many Thanks,

ab

No, it's all English for me - I couldn't right click on the link, but left clicking worked fine.

Thanks for your reply. If I left click the link, the video is activated. Again, no problem watching the videos, just saving them. Can you save the video to your hard drive by left clicking? The only way I can bring up the options menu is by right clicking.

Cheers,

ab
