Diablo 2 not working in Linux Ubuntu 9.10
 
This is actually for a friend of mine. He can't get Diablo II to work.
Even if he runs it in XP under VBox, it says it couldn't start D3D, or there was a D3D error, or something like that. Any ideas? (sory if it's too broad, will get more info tomorrow)

Vbox does provide D3D support, but it's still experimental. You could try installing it via PlayOnLinux. Diablo II is in the list of supported games.
