Desktop icons??

I've been trying for quite sometime on this, but still nothing...

How can I put Home and Computer Icons on my desktop?

I don't know if it's available for Ubuntu, but for people who don't like to dig a little, theres a simple gui app called gtweakui that makes that very easy on Gnome.

Run gconf-editor -> apps -> nautilus -> desktop and tick on the selections you want to enable.

With Ubuntu and Gnome, I always just drag the icons from the Menu, to my desktop.
