Angry "Demo-Default" passwords

This is stupid !

Step1: Burn STUPID.ISO to flash & boot up grandma's old laptop.

Step2: Demo how new/easy/nice this is to use.
As we are talking, screen has a time-out, and goes Alien???

Step3: Grandma has another tea, while I re-boot the laptop.
... and promi$e her a NEW laptop will be the be$t thing for her.
... she tells a vague-history-story about 'eating crow'.

I web-searched for STUPID's 'demo-default' password.
No,,, that's a complete waste of time.
There's another distro in mind... and this story continues...

I think its time to add another penguin above LinuxQuestions !

Distro default passwords are nearly always on their website, or in the installation instructions, did you read them(?).

Where did you get this Ubuntu iso file, from the official web site?
What software did you use to create the iso?
Some Ubuntu releases used 'ubuntu' as the user name with no password. If it was a derivative of Ubuntu, it would be different. Some information on this is at the link below.
