Dell Inspiron 1150 running ubuntu 8.04, screen blacks out after 20 mins.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 and Ubuntu 8.04. While watching hulu the screen blacks out every 20 minutes. I have tried all the settings I can find for this and they are all set to never.

I don't know if this is software or hardware, any insight would be appreciated.

thanks

Welcome to LinuxQuestions!

In ubuntu power saving mode will be enabled by default. so If we not used it for some time (you said 20 min ) monitor will be automatically blacked. If you click any button again screen will brightened.
For my laptop I observed these things.

If it not your case, wait for other replies.
good luck !
