Dead keyboard after booting is done
Hi,
I wanted to start using Kubuntu at my home desktop. So I popped in the CD, booted off from it, and once KDE was up and running the keyboard was dead. The keys would not work at all. They were fine when I opened the BIOS to change the boot order. Also they were working fine during the CD's boot menu. Dell Optiplex GX280 Pentium 4 3.0Ghz HT LGA775 1GB DDR2 RAM 40GB SATA HD Intel 915G mobo chipset with built-in sound and video The suspect keyboard: MS Natural Multimedia Pro PS/2 Update: I did a search after posting this and someone suggested disabling Legacy USB in the BIOS. I will give that a try; however, my keyboard is PS/2 only. Thanks. |
There was not an option in the BIOS for disabling legacy USB. So I disconnected the GX280 and installed Kubuntu on a GX270 I was thinking of selling. It will be a mistery forever.
