dcopserver communications error (Konsole)

Hello verybody,

After having some problems with my ram, I made new timing settings in the Bios and everything seems to work ok except ......

If I run the konsole I get the following error :

DCOPserver communications error (Konsole)
There was an error setting up inter-Process communications for KDE (???? I use gnome????) The message returned by the system was :
Could not read network connection list.
?root/.DCOPserver_Server2_0 (there is no {hidden}map with such a name)
Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running"

After the OK the konsole comes up and works........

I have done some googling and saw some remark about deleting files in the tmp map. But there is no such map.

I looked in .xsession-errors and found the following :
-------------------------------------------------
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/bin/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l ":0" "root"

I have got the exact same issue. It is actually the second time I'm having the issue, last time I was forced to reinstall.

Have you tried

Thanks in advance

No I made a reinstall.

I read it has something to do with kde programs running in gnome.
I intended to install kde as a start option, but I had some other samba related problems that where more urgent, so I didn't do it.

The error didn't work out in any way, I coud still use the console. There was another program that came up with the same error, but I don't know the name any more. As I told it didn't look like a real problem.

To complete the story, I made first a server install and later on added the desktop and some more things.
My other Ubuntu machine doesn't have any problems, but I installed it as a workstation with only gnome as desktop.
