I have switched from kubntu to ubuntu for the 8.10 versions.
How do I transfer my kubuntu 8.04 contacts to ubuntu 8.10 evolution?
I have my k-mail contacts in "vcf" format.
Help would be appreciated
Evolution supports importing from the following formats:
mbox
CSV or Tab
vCard
LDAP data interchange format
vCalendar
iCalendar
You will probably have to export your contacts to one of the supported formats from KMail, probably to vCard. Then import them from Evolution. I don't know if there is a tool that can do that without requiring you to install KMail/KAddressbook.
