Constant window crashes in feisty

Hi

Im fairly new to FF and Im getting pretty constant window crashes. I used to get a few things like mozilla would exit randomly and frequently on suse a while back but this is a freshly installed distro. It happens mostly when Im using the update manager and package manager guis. Its a real pain because I'll select a large list of upgrades and then suddenly the window will vanish without warning and I'll have to start from scratch.

Every now again the kernel crashes however I suspect that is related to my laptop overheating. Is it possible the window crashes are related to this?

Its so bad that I cant use these guis which is a real pain in the ass. I never get the problem with a terminal window, thank god, and I havent noticed it anywhere else really, although I havent explored xubuntu much.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Brendan

Very likely.
If you can't get inside to clean it, get the laptop on blocks to get air underneath it. In need, get a desk fan blowing air across it.
