Hello all;

I have received for christmas a Creative Zen Mozaic 4GB.
This gadget uses the MTP protocol to communicate and manage the files.
I have read some information about how to connect this device in Linux and access it to load songs. (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5824889)
I have tried Amarok and gnomad2, with a normal user and with root. I have not been able to connect to the device. Also, I have tried mtp-detect, after installing mtp-tools, and no device is detected in the USB.

Any clue about how to use this mp4 player from my favourite operating system??

PD: Installing the software it provides using Wine gives errors.

i use command-line apps to connect to my creative zen vision w.

i installed libusb and libmtp and it works. i also installed mtpfs with varying degrees of success.

I have a new Creative Zen 2 GB and used Amarok to connect.
It worked for my roomate, also. When you configure Amarok,
you click the MTP setting as the device (not the Creative
Jukebox setting). Instantly connects and recognizes your
music folder and MP3s. Transfering is easy.
Haven't tried it yet, but I read to use Gnomad 2 to transfer
images and videos.
