connectiing NFS

Hi.

I have three computers, each running Kubuntu 6.10
I am 80 years old and don't follow instructions very well. I keep getting NFS and SMB confunsed.
what I want is to have each computer have access to read and/or write the files on either of the other two.

All three computers ore connected to the internet thru a common router.

I would be grateful for any help.

What are the ip addresses of your computers? With Ubuntu I think NFS is active by default.
Using the console, type the following and post your results:
ps aux | grep nfsd

The NFS daemon is not running by default so you will have to go to the 'services' menu (somewhere in your control center...) and activate it. When I get back to my computer I can give you very specific details for getting nfs working but not at the moment. Sorry!
