Connect via Wireless using Ubuntu 7.10 and Linksys

Hey folks.
It's been a long time sinse I have been here with my stupid questions. So please forgive me if I am repeating myself.

I just installed 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) onto my 20Gig IDE slave. (Dual Booting with Windoze), and I cannot remember how to get connected to the internet.

I am using a Linksys WUSB11 ver.2.6 Wireless Antenna, trying to connect to an open network that is made available by the apartment complex that I reside in. The ESSID is 'Rodeway'. It is an Unsecured Network, but for some reason, I still cannot get on the internet.

Could someone please help me configure my network files? This antenna has always worked before with Ubuntu 7.10.
Thanks!

If the apartment wireless will do DHCP, then your wireless should work out of the box. You need to check. You should also try searching for your card on these forums:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ireless-78482/

When it worked before, did you need to install a driver?

Is this the same apartment complex as before?
See: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ubuntu-542813/

You sure the ESSID is "Roadway" and not "RoadwayGrove"?

Check support:

Read the notes:

Otherwise we want to see the output of:

iwconfig
lsusb for usb wireless card.

And have a look for the driver with lsmod. Check dmesg for mention of the card.
