computer freezing when restart
For some reason when I try to restart my computer, while I'm in Ubuntu, it will freeze up. It will get done closing everything and stopping all the processes then it just freezes up and doesn't restart. It doesn't do this when I restart from windows though. I am very suprised that it is doing this though because I freshly installed Ubuntu just recently and I havn't messed with any kind of settings yet. Anyway, If you have had this problem before I would appericiate the help.

Thanks, Rubiks14

P.S I've tried reinstalling but it still does it.

A few questions:

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?

When you attempt to perform a shutdown, does the system go all the way down or does it hang in the same manner as the restart that you are describing?

I'm using not the latest version of Ubuntu but the version right before the latest. I couldn't find a blank cd to put the latest on :(. Last time I shut down it did go all the way through.
