Compiz in edubuntu 11.10?

Good day, I want to run Compiz in my Edubuntu 11.10, and later will want 12.04.

Using a 32 bit laptop. I want to start compiz, I haven't used it for about a year. Newly installed Edubuntu.

I watched a youtube demo, using the new version of gnome. The top left Ubuntu logo button is double clicked, the word "compiz" is typed in, it comes up with an option for compiz, and that's it. But with me, the latter option is not there. So I tried to download compiz, but it shows that some of the compiz components are already installed.

I cannot find in this short time, how to run compiz on mu Edubuntu laptop. Please assist me, thanks.
