Compilation problems

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 on AMD64 machine.
I try to compile drivers from Twinhan website but have this error when using insmod:
"invalid module format"
Readme file says kernel up to 2.6.18-1.2798, mine is
I also see that Linux Kernel Headers is
Is it possible I mismatch my kernel with the source and headers?
Any advice please.

I don't know what Twinhan is, but if they say their code is meant to work only with kernels up to 2.6.18 and you have 2.6.24 then it's not surprising that you are having problems. Are you sure they don't have a version for newer kernels?
