changed passwd doesn't unlock the screen

Hi,
To unlock the screen with the liveCD, the changed passwd of the user doesn't work. I changed the user password (default) and locked the screen. The new password didn't work. Help.

I guess you have used the passwd utility.
Make sure you are typing the *exact* and the *absolutely correct* password.
Also, not sure if there are any problems with Unique passwords that have a lot of special characters.

Not to panic. Just press Ctrl + Alt + Bkspace.

It will restart the Desktop Environment, and let you back on the desktop.
