change the ubuntu logo
I am trying to make gnome look like mac osx as much as possible, and I trouble with change the icon in the top left corner from the ubuntu logo to the apple logo. I replaced the disrtibutor-logo in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/distributor-logo.png with the apple logo but it still won't change after I restart. I am using edgy eft. Any help is appreciated

Not sure if this will help or not, but on my Debian Etch system, open up gconf-editor and go to the following key.
Code:
/apps/panel/objects/object_0/custom_icon |
I use Kubuntu 6.1 and the terminal just opens a blank text document...
