Change Gaim Icon

I'm using Ubuntu 5.10.

The Gaim icon next to the clock looks out of place. I'd like to change it to something that looks better. I already have a new icon picked out, so how do I change it?

Are you using Gnome? I'm a KDE guy myself, so I'm not sure if these directions will be exactly correct, but:

+ Right-click on the current icon, and select properties from the pop-up menu.
+ Click the picture of the current icon.
+ A box should appear allowing you to browse through your computer's file structure. Navigate to the folder containing your new icon.
+ Hit 'OK', and then hit 'OK' again to make the box disappear.
+ Your new icon should now be in use.

Note: Someone please correct me if I've omitted any Gnome-specific details.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but it seems like sleepyEDB's suggestion seems close for changing the icon of the launcher, saying the icon next to the clock makes me think you're wanting to change the one in the system tray. That one would probably be trickier. The only thing coming to mind is to find the file used to display this icon and save your new one with the same name. There's probably a less drastic solution, but I don't know what it is.

Huh...I guess I didn't read it that way. Thanks for catching that, mcmillan!
