Cannot play any kind of video through firefox

Hey guys. I'm running Firefox on Ubuntu Breezy with an AMD64 setup. I cannont play mpg, wmv, or any other type of movie file through the totem plugin in firefox. I've seen posts on not being able to do this after installing 1.5, but I'm using the 1.07 that came with Ubuntu when I installed it. I've went through and downloaded a crap of load of libraries and such, but it still dosen't work. Is this an AMD64 problem or what?

As a side note, if I download the files and play them from the HDD, I get sound but no video.

Here's the actual error firefox gives me:
Code:

Totem could not play 'fd://0'.

There were no decoders found to handle the stream, you might need to install the corresponding plugins

Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Install Mplayer and the codecs. Plus, I believe that there is a package for firefox regarding video. (Not completely sure and too lazy to look.)

Try automatix and install Firefox with all its plugins; it woked for me. The good thing is it sets thing suo for all Mozilla browsers and also Opera

I tried both Automatix and Easy Ubuntu. Personally I would recommend Easy Ubuntu as this is safer than Automatix. Search google for Easy Ubuntu
