Question Cannot boot already installed ubuntu on newly installed win xp


hi

it will be grateful of u if u can help me out. my problem is tht in my laptop earlier i had ubuntu and windows xp home edition .. it ws workin fine ... both were displayed and allowed me to chose the platform. Then i installed winxp professional sp2 over home edition ... but now there is no menu asking ubuntu and windows ... cmputer direectly boots into windows xp professional and in it it doesnt show that hard disk portion where ubuntu was installed ... can u suggest me ne ideas how to resolve this problem.

Look at the Ubuntu Wiki page on Reinstalling GRUB
That tells you how to get the menu back and boot into ubuntu again.
