Can My custom Icons be used in place of default?

Hey all!

I would like to create icons to be used in place of the default ones in ubuntu.

Instead of the default 'Folder' icons, I want to install my own.

What is involved in doing this? and is it possible?

Thanks!

Well, I know about gnome-look.org. I installed some themes from them.

I checked out the icon section, but the only thing I see is the ability to download other folks icons.

I cant seem to find any reference to creating and installing.

I'll keep looking, Thnaks again!
