can't start an x session


i installed ubuntu recently but the program is running in text mood only and when i typed
Code:
startx
an error message aperar saying that it's can't run x .

i dont remmember the message but it's related to file called oem.seesion

It would be helpful if you posted the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log for us to see exactly what the error(s) was.
