Can't remove side panel on Budgie

On the Ubuntu Budgie Desktop a side panel pops up with all my unmounted drives and there seems to be no way to get it to go away. Very frustrating.
Any help would be appreciated

Try clicking on panel preferences and see if you can remove it.

Look in Settings> Appearance > Behavior tab and see if there is a Auto Hide or Remove option.
