Can't locate needed linux-restricted-modules ( Edgy Eft )
Hi all,
I am trying to locate the linux-restricted-modules that go with the linux-image-2.6.17-11-386 kernel and am not having any luck finding them. i currently have both the 2.6.17-10-386 and 2.6.17-11-386 kernels installed, but am unable to use the Nvidia-glx drivers with 2.6.17-11-386 as I am lacking the corresponding restricted modules. I have the restricted modules for 2.6.17-10-386 and the Nvidia drivers work fine under that kernel. I have both the "Universe" and "Multiverse" repos enabled. Anybody know if these updated modules are even available ?

make sure you have the "restricted" repo, you'll want to install linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-11-386 from there.
the line should look something like
Code:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ edgy main restricted

Yes, it did. I re-enabled the "restricted" repos and installed the restricted kernel modules to match 2.6.17-11-386 and it works fine now. Thanks for your help.
