Can't find software in synaptics

I'm looking for wine, nvue, gnucash. Are these available for dapper? Icouldn't find them in the repository. Do these only work on KDE?

I see it on my system. What I did a while back is added a channel to my repositories.

In Synaptic select settings then repositories. Then click add. I left the channel to UBuntu 6.06 LTS but under components a checked all fo the check boxes.

Now this is not the cleanest way to do this I'm guessing but now I don't have an issue finding any software I want to install. If you don't see it then I'm not really sure why.
