Brother DCP 8040 Printer on Zorin OS 5 Lite (Ubuntu-Lubuntu)
Was able to get Zorin OS 5 Lite to fetch drivers for the Brother DCP 8040 and get in working in no time. And this is on an old Pentium III with just 348 megs RAM. Good work you Zorin guys.

You probably need to goto Brother's website and download the .deb files for that model. I've always had good luck with my AIO printer also.

Thank You - Brother Printer Replies
Thank You Fred and mic for your replies on my Brother printer set-up. I have had some problems with getting the Linux drivers from the Brothers site to work but that is more my fault than theres. I am a bit command line challenged but Zorin OS 5 Lite set it up quick. Again, Thanks, Michael.

Sounds like a good reason to use Zorin.
