I was googleing and found those commands sudo apt-get install pppoeconf

and the next sudo pppeconf
I followed the instruction out the user and password
the other command was sudo pon dsl-provider to connection sudo poff to disconnect

put still have no internet !!!

I type sudo ifconfig and got
Quote:
anasmich@HPlaptop:~$ sudo apt-get install pppoeconf
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
pppoeconf is already the newest version.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
libkipi0 libexiv2-0.12 libkexiv2-0
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
anasmich@HPlaptop:~$ sudo pppoeconf
Plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded.
anasmich@HPlaptop:~$ sudo ifconfig ppp0
ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
POINTOPOINT NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:3
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

anasmich@HPlaptop:~$ sudo pon dsl-provider
Plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded.
anasmich@HPlaptop:~$
so Gents can you advise?

Is your modem connected by an Ethernet cable? I don't recognize "ppp0" as a valid connection. Ubuntu will use "eth0". Try right clicking the network manager icon toward the right of the upper applet bar. It appears as two terminals. Select connection information. The interface: line tells you the device name as (eth0). It also tells you what IP addresses are assigned.
