I have ubuntu(5.10) installed in my comp.I also have Win 2000 installed. But when i a boot in Win it doesnt show such a problem. The problem i have is as the booting takes palce all of the sudden the screen goes blank and nothin is visible though there is power in my monitor, cpu. And after many restarts i am able to boot it correctly.Pls. help me out as i am in great trouble and have lots of work(projects & stuff) to be done.
Is there no output, error messages at all? If so it may be ubuntu is doing something to some hardware in the pc that the hardware doesn't like, could you just retreat and install a newer version of ubuntu?
