boot loader on floppy disk problem
Hi,i have a problem in getting the boot loader installed into a floppy disk,in my ubuntu 5.10 installation just kept telling me that the installation step failed. Is there a bug or something like that?the disk was already formatted and the write-protection was off.
I have a 15 GB hard drive in which i want to install ubuntu, and a 80GB hd winth windows xp installed. So it would really help if i installed the boot loader in a floppy disk.
one thought was to install ubuntu 4.10 and upgrade it to 5.10.I'm not sure if this is possible though.
Any ideas?

Why not use a floppy drive at all and use a boot loader allowing choice with a boot loader such as grub. Not sure exactly how this task should be complete but it is possible.

i thought it would be more convenient to insert the floppy disk whenever i want to load ubuntu and just eject it to load windows.
p.s:I installed ubuntu again just an hour ago.this time grub seemed to be installed in the floppy during the installation proccess, but when my pc rebooted after the installation,it freezed when trying to boot from the floppy
