/bin/sh: can't access tty... hELP NEWBIE
hi all,
I have a 6.10 live cd, and a PC based on Intel dg965RY Mobo and Intel C2D processor. My problem is that when running the live cd i get the following message after which the boot process just hangs.
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control is turned off.
Initramfs_
I have only windows XP on my PC, and no other linux versions. I badly want to try this ,ive cd before jumping onto the linux bandwagon.
Can anyone help me how to overcome this problem...?

If you reply to your own threads before a 24 hour period, then you remove them from the zero reply and those members looking for threads that have not been answered will not see your question.
As for your problem, try looking for a solution here.

for those of you newbies who have had problems with this config like i had when installing linux, i have good news. maybe you found this out a long time ago, but for those like me still floundering in windows, stranded without a viable linux option for core 2 duo/ intel DG 965 RY motherboard, here is the news...
GO FOR openSUSE 10.2 64 bit version.
I'm typing these words ten minutes after being able to install it without a hitch, and getting to browse the internet without even having to configure my modem, or missing my CD drive....!!!
Boy, am i happy....!!!
