bcm43xx-fwcutter is not working

Gentlemen,

I have been trying to get a Linksys bcm4306 wireless network card working but when I try to use bcm43xx-fwcutter I keep geting this error "Cannot open input file bcmwl5.sys" can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I need to do to correct this problem. My Kernel Ver. is 2.6.15-28-386 & bcm43xx-fwcutter ver. is 20060108 I'm wondering if I need to update the bcm43xx-fwcutter version that I'm trying to run. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JaDan

While it never hurts to update drivers, is this card linux approved? With it trying to refrence a .sys file, it sounds like it is looking for a Windows Architecture, and not a Unix/Linux.

Go to the Linksys site, and see if they have Linux specific drivers.
