Hi Guys
Ive used this tutorial to try and setup 3d acceleration on my Radeon 9000 pro card.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI
The tutorial itself is pretty straightforward and after the main setup is done it asks you to type fglrxinfo and the result shoud be something like :
$ fglrxinfo
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 9700 Generic
OpenGL version string: 2.0.5755 (8.24.8)
INSTEAD I got the following when I typep fglrxinfo :
root@ali-desktop:/home/ali# fglrxinfo
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
Error: unable to open display :0
