ATI/KDE/XGL/Compiz up to date how-to?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone know where I can find an up to date how-to on installing XGL and Compiz on an ATI 9600 card with KDE. I've tried automatix but it only supports nVidia...and searching for a how-to is a mess since its either for gnome or nvidia or very out of date. Does anyone have a good article?

but Compiz is now known as the beryl-project...any help would be much appreciated.

would be a good place to ask

I followed the install for ati-gnome and didn't break anything, but I'm still figuring out the beryl settings manager.
