application launcher kubuntu11.10 kde4.7.x

I'm not sure how I did this, but I deleted the application launcher in kubuntu-11.10 kde 4.7.x. Is there any way to restore it?

I guess you mean the icon in the panel. In that case, just right click on the panel, select add widgets and find the application launcher you wish to use. You can add it to the panel either by doubleclicking the widget or dragging it where you want it.
Another option is to delete the entire panel and the right click on the desktop and add a new default panel.

I tried double clicking application launcher in the widget panel. That didn't work. Then I tried dragging the application launcher to the panel. That didn't work either. I got a red O with a line through it when I tried that. I then tried deleting the entire panel and add a new default panel. That worked. Anyone know why the first two solutions didn't work?
