Question Apache Mod_Rewrite Howto in ubuntu ??

Hi All,
I had build up a ubuntu server6.06 with following configurations.

Apache/2.0.59 (Compiled)
mod_ssl/2.0.59
OpenSSL/0.9.8a
PHP/4.4.4
Mysql 4.1

Now I would like to add a module ie Mod_Rewrite. Can anyone tell me how to add this.
Please Help

If you included the module in the config when you compiled, then you need to edit your conf file to load it and enable it.

If it wasn't included, I think you would have to compile it again. Is there a specific reason apache is compiled and not installed from a package?
