Amarok won't play flac anymore
I used apt-get to install flac, then I used Automatix to get the rest of the codecs I needed to play my music. I could listen to my flac files, and not my mp3 files before I did automatix, but, afterwords I could only listen to my mp3 files, and not the flac files. Any ideas?
Yay for a total !!!

I believe you have to have the helix engine selected in amarok as your preferred sound engine to be able to get flac to work.

Try using the xine engine. Helix on my sys did NOT play with amarok, and amarok no longer is compatible with the gstreamer engine. Helix alone did NOT work, even with all kinds of plugins and codecs added as appropriate.
