Alacarte not delete menu items.

Alacarte will not delete my menu items. I want to be able to delete my wine menu items that I have uninstalled but when I open Alacarte and click delete it dose nothing. If I refresh GNOME it makes no difference. If I restart my computer or shut it down it to makes no difference. How do I delete them?

How to delete items in Alacarte

Okay caa1980, here's how you do it. Go to /home/username/.local/share/applications (username is the name you log in with) and select the item and delete it. Alacarte or "Gnome Menu" doesn't let you do anything other than hide an application or list a new one. It does however if your root, but root has it's own menu. I'm not sure why.
