Advanced power management in Ubuntu
 

Hi all,

I run Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on a laptop. This laptop acts as a server (is on 24/7).

Since it's always plugged to AC, I'd like it to always use battery and use AC power only when battery goes below 15%.

Is there a way to manage this via software?

I don't think that's possible...Considering the fact that laptops can charge themselves even when they are off, I would suspect that the battery vs. AC thing is controlled in hardware...

Anyway, why do you want to do that?
