adsl modem


is it posible to use a usb adsl modem prolink hurricane 7000 on ubuntu without using the eciadsl driver? thanks!

I found usb adsl modems to be a complete nightmare with linux. Get yourself an ADSL network router instead. The're quite affordable now, much better and I promise that virtually every distro will be fine with it. Netgear do some good stuff but stay away from belkin.
