Acer Aspire One Netbook Memory Card Reader Problems - Ubuntu 8.10

Hi Guys

I have recently installed Ubuntu 8.10 - Intrepid Ibex on my Acer Aspire One Netbook and i have discovered that both the SD card reader and Multi card reader does not work.

I am using kernel 2.6.27-11-generic. I have tried using an older kernel version also, but the readers still did not work.

Can somebody please tell me how to fix this problem?

Many thanks all

You may want to consider installing Ubuntu 9.04, or perhaps the latest version of Ubuntu Netbook Remix.
The card readers are known to be problematic on the AAO:
I think that your best hope for getting everything fully functional on the AAO would be to install the latest version 9.04.
