accidently removed internet icon

how can i get the wired connection icon back

it's not in > Add to panel

although it's not a huge problem , it still is good to know i'm online

i also removed my checkgmail icon accidently (at thte same time) was trying to get that back , no succes i get in a admin account , but in my user account (where i had it) i just don't seem to be able to get it back ... tray/panel

what 's so funny is that i cannot seem to get to the > checkgmail preferences

how do you do that ?

and how can something so simple be so difficult (to me) to get back ?

feel like deleting the whole account just to get the checkgmail notifier

right click on panel > panel menu > add application to panel >> find whatever app you want (in your case gmail notifier and your network manager)

If it was in the system tray, then just run the applications again. Like "knetworkmanager" for the network icon.

No ,no , no

that's what i explained above

"network manager" is not there (on panel menu) only "network monitor" and they are two different apps

and the gmail notifier neither , when i run it in the terminal it starts but at the login window it doesn't go or there's no way i can get back to the checkgmail preferences

when i just run the app checkgmail iget a small white rectangle when i try to choose an icon the notifier is not there , i thought well if i reboot, neither , so i removed that

this is what i mean

maybe kubuntu has these option just like xubuntu lacks some (of what i read)

is funny that it is so complicated it shouldn't .
