Darkhammer how many video cards do you have? From the look of your xorg.conf seems like you are using 3. I notice you have the same BusID for 2 of the cards and that won't work. Each PCI slot has its on BusID, ex for my 2 cards 1 is 3:0:0 and the other is 4:0:0. I know the 3:0:0 is my primary one since its the way my mobo is setup and have cables connected to that one.

Also fyi from a fresh install always do the system upgrade first and reboot before you install the drivers. You might get a kernal upgrade and it might conflict with the drivers if you install the drivers first before doing a system upgrade. I ran into when I first started to use kubuntu.

i had a little epiphany last night. i also have a hauppauge hvr 1600 tv tuner card which was supposed to be supported in kerenl 2.6.26. intrepid runs 2.6.27. to get it running in 2.6.24 i had to add "vmalloc=256MB" or the nvidia driver would just not load up at all (this is an experimental driver i was using back then). maybe this is part of the reason it isnt working. i never bothered to check to see if the tuner card was loading on boot. i think ill wipe of hardy again today and see if this fixes things.

Recent updates fixed it. Now my nVidia card works.

sorry to get back to you all so late. this did fix it though. i feel kinda stupid too because i remember reading about this kernel supporting my tv tuner card and i completely forgot about it. :-)
