5.04 Live Cd Password

Just a question,

Does anybody know the default password for the user 'ubuntu' on the live cd (version 5.04)?

I accidentally click on 'Lock screen' once and i had to reboot without exiting ubuntu live gracefully.

The Ubuntu Live CD doesn't have any paswords.

I think you can set up the passwords though. By typing the following at the shell.

Code:

#passwd
Enter Unix Password:
Retype Unix Password:

Moreover, did you try pressing the Return key, without entering any password after the screen was locked?

I have been trying to press the return key but it replies
'Login Cancelled'

so i couldn't find out.

I'll try your method soon.

LOL.
I found a new method to get off the Locked screen.

Not sure if everybody know this.
The Key combination used to restarting the Desktop Environment works like a charm here.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace. This should take you to the Login Screen.
