Must be my day... or maybe I'm just in one of those moods. But what is it with the sad state of web design by the clueless today!

You won't have to scroll far to see my previous rant about an LXer linked page which is effectively hidden behind a pay-wall with a message of how they are entitled...

Now this one - which opens a popup and overlay only to inform me that facebook could not be reached from my browser.

D*m straight it can't! It can't be reached from any branch of my local network, nor from any machine of mine if connected to another network! I do not need an annoyance popup to remind me - I made it that way, and for a reason!

But then, I wasn't trying to reach facebook, was I? I thought I was going to read an article on the linked website... silly me, must be my mistake!

Well, in the end I did not enable facebook, and I did not read the d*%m page I was trying to reach, and I won't be back... I just thought I'd post this in case any wannabe webmasters were interested in feedback from a potential visitor.
