It's disappointing that you don't get a Desura key if you buy it through the Humble Bundle. HOWEVER, if you read Gaslamp's announcement, you find out that:

a) they're committed to always providing the latest version to those who bought it through the Humble Bundle
b) they're trying to get a Desura key for Humble Bundle buyers, and may well succeed.

So don't let that stop you!
