An update today finally sets Banshee as the default music player in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal. Since Banshee is now default, it has replaced Rhythmbox in the Ubuntu Sound Menu:

Wow. Well, I need to fix my desktop to use it as my netbook has been *very* unstable lately. However, that's *incredible*.

Ubuntu 11.04 will be the OS to beat especially when it comes out two weeks after I turn 18.

Ubuntu's OK, but quite a lot of us prefer something else, in case you hadn't noticed.

I know. Most of you prefer Slackware, and that's still okay. Linux is still Linux no matter what the distro.

Odd that you don't seem bothered by the fact that Banshee is the default music player.

Why would I be bothered? It does have more features than Rhythmbox and looks more iTunes-like.

Because it's written in C# and uses Mono. You know, that patent encumbered framework? The one that clones Microsoft's .NET?

D*** I did not know that. Well, now that we have issues, I would probably just install Rhythmbox and uninstall Banshee as soon as I put 11.04 on my desktop. My netbook is pretty much kaput and my desktop is easier to fox, so...
