Can't p7zip extract rar archives ? Any sample rarv3 archives so I can test it ?

It is the `free' part that is the big deal in the article.

But, rar is not free in any way whatsoever ... so why would it matter if you have a FLOSS extraction program ?

Use 7zip and forget about rar. I just need a program to extract rar, because other people use it. If other people didn't use it, I wouldn't need it.
