Once I noticed that the article was written by the pundit, John C. Dvorak, I immediately lost all interest what was attempting to be conveyed.

Tablets are here to stay and aren't going to disappear any time soon IMO.

They're not going anywhere but they're also not "the future of computing". There's are valid reasons why laptops and desktops exist and those reasons have not gone away. They may do but that hasn't happened yet.
